Matthew Bromwich MD, FRCSC, BSc
Chief Executive Officer

Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and Audiology. ENT Surgeon. 9 years leadership experience in medical research, policy and technology.

Matthew Bromwich is Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada specializing in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ENT). He completed his residency training at the University of Western Ontario and sub-specialized in Pediatric ENT at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio. Dr. Bromwich is currently an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology with the University of Ottawa in Ontario Canada.

Dr. Bromwich has published his research in the areas of Pediatric Surgery, Telemedicine, Active Noise Cancellation Audiometry and BPPV amongst others. He has successfully authored multiple technology transfer grants. He has been awarded the PSI Research Award (2006), the CSCI Research Award (2006) as well as the Scientific Achievement Award (2007) from the University of Western Ontario. He is a member of the OMA, CMA, ACS and the AAO-HNS. He is Chair of the Board of Directors of Clearwater Clinical Limited and has been appointed to serve as Executive Director of the company.

Sam Lim BA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer

10 years of experience in general management and strategy. BA Economics from Cornell University, MBA from MIT.

Sam Lim brings to the team strong business expertise in management and strategy. This includes various positions in strategic planning and business development where he has developed a successful track record in helping global multi-billion dollar companies develop and implement strategies for new product development, market entry, and growth.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sam is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Clearwater Clinical.

Alp Sener MD, PhD, FRCSC, BA (Hons)
Chief Operating Officer

Assistant Professor of Surgery and Microbiology & Immunology. Urologist and Transplant Surgeon. Several national and international research awards. 68 peer-reviewed articles. 6 years manufacturing experience and co-founder of two Canadian companies.

Alp Sener is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada specializing in Urology. After completing his specialty training in Urology at the University of Western Ontario, he sub-specialized in Multi-organ Transplantation and Immunology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. Sener is currently an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Surgery and Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Sener has received several national and international research awards. He is the author of more than 68 peer-reviewed articles, reviews and abstracts on various research topics ranging from physiology, tele-surgery, organ transplantation and oncology. His corporate experience resides in his roles as Co-founder and President of two successful Canadian import/export and textile manufacturing/distributing companies. He is a member of the OMA, CMA, CUA, AUA, ASTS and ACS. Dr. Sener sits on the Board of Directors of Clearwater Clinical, Ltd. and has been appointed as its Chief Operating Officer.

Julian Bromwich, BSc
Chief Technical Officer

16 years of technology and software development experience. Extensive experience in new product development within young companies.

Julian Bromwich has been developing software in Calgary since 1994 in fields such as Robotics, Oil & Gas, Encryption, and Finance. During his career he has worked within both start-up and multi-national companies. He is a member of several entrepreneur organizations and has extensive experience in overcoming the challenges of new product development.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. Julian is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the Chief Technical Officer of Clearwater Clinical.

Michael Gokturk, BA, LLB
Advisory Board Member

10 years of experience as business development & sales executive. Corporate Finance & Business Development experience. Successfully launched & IPOed an international payment firm.

Michael Gokturk is a business development and sales executive with experience in the financial services industry. Michael previously served in Corporate Finance & Business Development positions for a major Western Canadian Investment Bank. In this role, he was responsible for sourcing and establishing sales relationships, product offering implementation and development as well as introducing strategic alliances.

Michael has acted as lead advisor to a number of start-up and emerging companies, each with diverse business models and management. He brings his own experience of having successfully launched a multinational international trade brokerage firm and a leading online retail store that became the model for its kind and one of Vancouver's most innovative music recording labels.

Jacob Jaremko, MD, PhD, FRCPC, BSc (Eng)
Advancement Officer

Radiologist & PhD in Biomedical Engineering. 11 years experience in interdisciplinary clinical and translational research. Multiple national academic awards (Silver Medal of the Governor General of Canada). Authored three multi-centre research grants resulting in total funding of over $1 million.

Jacob Jaremko is a radiologist currently on fellowship in Melbourne, Australia. With a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary, he has extensive experience in interdisciplinary clinical research involving physicians, engineers and basic scientists.

In addition to multiple personal awards including a 6-year Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Studentship. His PhD work involved three-dimensional modeling of the relation between torso surface shape and spinal deformity in scoliosis. In addition to the MD and PhD, Jacob has a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary. He brings diverse clinical, academic and technical skills to the Clearwater Clinical team.
